Walks are arranged monthly usually on Tuesdays. Those who have signed up to this Group will receive advance notification. Information on the next walk should be in the Monthly Newsletter. If you are interested in finding out more or joining a particular walk, please contact Liz E.
Help required: Have you got any favourite cafes? What about leading one walk locally with your preferred cafe for lunch?
Due to the nature of this activity, you are strongly advised to carry your emergency details either on an "Emergency Card" or as "ICE" on your mobile phone. These details would remain private except in an emergency. Please contact Liz E if you would like more information.
There is the potential to re-start the Oban u3a: Walk and (Packed) Lunch which tends to go on more rugged walks. Anyone interested should contact David H. There are also a number of other walking groups in the area. (We are not recommending any of these in particular).

The Walk and Lunch Group walked around the Isle of Luing. The walk began on the, sometimes steep, road, along a boggy track with a fairly gentle rise, then we left and followed the ridge of Cnoc Dhomnuill until rejoining the road near the Post Office for the final stretch into Cullipool and lunch at the Atlantic Centre. We had a little time to look around the village/quarries before returning the same route for the ferry back to Cuan.

In March, members walked along the Appin coast with lunch at the Castle Stalker Café.
In January, the group took the ferry to Mull for a walk to Torsay Castle, lunch in Craignure then continued walking to the fairly glen behind Mull Community Swimming Pool.
The group had a short, wet and windy walk around Dunstaffnage and Dunbeg ending with lunch in the Beach Cafe.
In April, we had a walk and lunch on the Isle of Kerrera where we saw plenty of wildlife including a new-born feral kid. Some discussion as to whether the birds were Golden Eagles, White Tailed Eagles or Buzzards but we think we saw some of each together with Crows, Rooks and Jays.

We recently walked from Taynuilt station to the Sìtheag, Inverawe via Bonawe and the quarry and then over the wobbly footbridge, had lunch and returned to Taynuilt.
November's walk was from Pulpit Hill to Kerrera Ferry and along to the Olive Garden.

In October the Group walked to the Fairy Bridge in Glen Creran.
