A new series of Bridge for Beginners lessons will begin on Thursday, 4th June at 2p.m. in Kilmore Village Hall. Sport for the mind - a treadmill for the neurons - and an enjoyable game besides. Come along and see for yourself.
If the group you would like to join is full or doesn't exist, please let us know. Contact David H in the first instance.

A few folk would like to undertake some more strenuous walks. Would you like to join them? Please let David H know.
Talk for June

Britain, China and Japan: history, politics, horticulture
A talk by David Alcock on Tuesday 2nd June.
Chinoiserie was all the rage in the 18th and early 19th centuries. What sources were available to the enthusiastic gardener? What were the results? How did this compare to the real thing? Why did Chinoiserie give way to Japonisme, and what's the difference? What of Scotland? The talk will touch on all these issues.
David's interest was sparked as a volunteer at Biddulph Grange Garden in Staffordshire. There can be found a Chinese-style garden dating from the early 1850s, the most ambitious of its kind prior to recent times.
