After twenty-two years of marriage, and aged forty-five, the famous author fell in love with an eighteen-year-old. Charles banished his wife, Catherine, from their home with their nine children and wrecked her reputation to protect his own. On her deathbed, Mrs Dickens asked her daughter to publish his letters, 'So the world may know he loved me once.'

Annie Elliot brings Catherine back to life to fulfil her dying wish and speak up for herself using dramatic readings and authentic documents from her groundbreaking new novel Mr & Mrs Charles Dickens - Her Story - 'So the world may know he loved me once.'
